Biocare Copenhagen is an affiliate of DSM, that offers white label end-to-end services, and specializes in microbial actives targeting gastrointestinal disorders, metabolism, infections, immunity, etc. The company's activities are based on research conducted at the Copenhagen University Hospital, Denmark’s leading hospital for patients requiring highly specialized treatment. Biocare Copenhagen was originally established as a joint venture between the Danish Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation and the founders of Biocare Copenhagen.

 

As Business Operations Manager for Biocare Copenhagen your main objective will be to drive and optimize Operations, develop and support the Operations Team with currently four experienced colleagues, strengthen the integration within DSM Market Ready Solutions, and to contribute to growing the “Health from the Gut” Business.

 

DSM offers flexibility regarding place of work (hybrid workplace), however with frequent meetings at the office in Brøndby. You will report to the Premix Operations Director, EMEA, in Poland.

 

Your Key Responsibilities

 

  • Lead, develop and manage the operations team to ensure timely deliveries as well as fast and accurate responses to all customer requests and queries
  • Project management for new product developments projects to increase the “Health from the Gut” product portfolio
  • Support the integration of the Operations Team into the DSM environment (SAP and overall Process Integration, incl. Legal, Commercial etc.)
  • Assure the selection of 3rd party manufacturers so that required capacity, capability, and flexibility is available to meet demand
  • Assure the review of Quality Management Systems at contract manufacturers to ensure that products meet all quality standards
  • Responsible for following the 3PMs audit procedure, review and follow up on audit reports
  • Negotiation and pricing discussions on technical and commercial agreements with CMOs
  • Define and monitor targets regarding budget, costs, yield, services and quality
  • Preparation and approval of annual reports for the entity
  • Provide reporting and yearly evaluation of performance against targets, analyze deviations and set up of corrective and preventive measures

You bring

 

  • Sc. Technical/Engineering, or Business/Supply Chain with technical expertise
  • Experience in Operations or Supply Chain
  • A minimum of three years’ R&D, production and/or supply chain management
  • Strong experience in project management
  • In-depth knowledge of end to end supply chain – (flows and order-to-cash processes)
  • The position demands a leadership attitude and strong inclusion skills, as well as the ability to lead cross-functional teams, preferably experience with change management
  • Ability to work in a fast and busy environment with changing priorities
  • Good communication skills and understanding to work with people from multiple cultures in an international organization
  • Strong business acumen and problem-solving capabilities and spirit to deliver
  • Pragmatic, with good self-organizational skills, cross-cultural sensitivity and customer focus
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills in English
  • Ability to travel 2-3 days per month
